Turtle Tracking
Bog turtles are elusive creatures, difficult to find in summer and hidden in hibernation during the winter. Through funding by the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, Parkway biologists and managers outfitted bog turtles with tracking devises to learn about the habits and life of this threatened species. The project will help make their future protection possible.
