Repair and Restore Historic Polly Woods Ordinary
Visit an early tourist destination! Polly Woods Ordinary is one of the few remaining features of 18th century settlement in the Peaks of Otter area. In its heyday it served as a tavern and lodge for travelers to the area. This year, the structure will undergo repairs to ensure it remains a fascinating example of history for future generations. The project is funded through Congress’ Centennial Challenge program and matching funds from the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
